Create Your First Group #

Ready to start splitting expenses? Let's create your first SolSplitter group!

Before You Start #

Make sure you have:

• ✅ Wallet connected to SolSplitter
• ✅ Some SOL for transaction fees (minimum ~0.01 SOL)
• ✅ Friends' wallet addresses ready

Step 1: Create Your Group #

1. Go to Dashboard - Visit app.solsplitter.com
2. Click "Create Group"
3. Enter Group Details:
   • Name: Something memorable (e.g., "Vegas Trip 2025")
   • Description: Optional context
   • Currency: Choose SOL or USDT as default

Step 2: Add Members #

Method 1: Wallet Address #

1. Get their Solana wallet address
2. Paste in "Add Member" field
3. Click "Invite"

Method 2: Share Invite Link #

1. Click "Generate Invite Link"
2. Copy and share the link
3. Members click link and connect wallet to join

Step 3: Add Your First Expense #

1. Click "Add Expense"

2. Enter Details:

   • Amount: Enter the total amount
   • Description: What the expense was for
   • Who Paid: Select yourself
   • Split With: Select all group members
   • Split Method: Equal (default)

3. Click "Add Expense"

Step 4: Settle Up #

1. Check "Who Owes What" section
2. Click "Pay" next to member you owe
3. Review and approve payment in your wallet
4. Payment sent instantly!

Pro Tips #

• Test with small amounts first
• Use USDT for stable value tracking
• Settle regularly rather than letting balances grow
• Add photos to receipts for better records
